You made a good decision to seek out counseling. I'm happy to know that the baby is not in danger. When you go to counseling you'll learn how to take care of your feelings and not try to solve your brother's problems. It's really hard to watch someone you love go through addiction. And we make it worse when we try to "help" them. It takes years before some people finally get the message that they are screwing up their life. In the mean time, you have your life to live and you need to take care of yourself. You're on the right track. You sound like a very caring and loving person.
