New to this area, I have just today been made aware of the drug problem here in Caroll County. I do not live in this area but work here, and was wondering what support groups are available. Recognizing the slow process of obtaining approval, land, funds, and facility for a shelter, I want to know what programs are available to addicts and/or their families. I am aware of a few AA meetings. But where are the NA meetings and Al Anon and Nar Anon and the teen groups meetings? How can these groups be started in our local churches and other public buildings? What resources are available for everyday people who want to make a possitive contribution to the community by offering support programs to local families? What are other things that can be started by private citizens to supplement county and state programs?
Thanks
