After being addicted to herion for 2 years, I've been clean for almost 3 months. Its been the best and worse 3 months of my life. Herion got me no where in life, no money, I lost all my real friends, I love everything that ever meant anything and worst of all I have felonies on my record. When I first started using it was just a once in a while thing, then is was every weekend, every few days, once a day, 5 or 6 bags a day, and then as much as I possibly could get. I started snorting and I didn't realize that "shooting up" was 10 times better and it was like I started all over again because I didn't need very much to get "woozy". Thankfully I got "busted" only 2 months after I started "shooting up". I only sat in jail for 2 weeks but it felt longer and now I'm on probation for 3 years! I can't even go out for my 21st birthday. Herion distroyed my life!! But thankfully there are programs like NA and AA because I truly believe that if it wasen't for meetings I'd either spend the rest of my life in jail or be dead because either one of those things were only a few months off. Thank god I have a family who looked past my addiction! THere is so much I missed out on because of what Herion did to my life. My advice to anyone that is addicted to a drug is get help as soon as possible, there are alot of people out there who are going through what you are. Go to an NA or AA meeting trust me they help. I also say the serenity prayer to myself at least 20 times a day. There are people there to help and who understand! They are only a phone call away!!
