Has anyone come across a connection between SHRUBSOLE/SHRUBSALL and PALMER? I am interested in a George PALMER, a baker of Sheernes who named his sons Charles Shrubsole/Shrubsall, Alfred Shrubsole/Shrubsall and George Shrubsole/Shrubsall PALMER. Charles and George were both confectioners. The sons were born at the beginning of the 1800s.

I have just read your note re the Shrubsole/Palmer connection. It's not the same but my grandmother, Harriet Rose Shrubsole, b.1884, married a Stephen Thomas Palmer and so my surname was Palmer before I married. However, your connection seems to be earlier. They were both from Kent but I don't have much information about the Palmer side of my family.

I have an ancestor with the first name Shrubsole (surname Lawrence), born in Kent 1818 who was a baker. His son also got given Shrubsole as a first name!

Hi, June

I have come across your message on this site about George Palmer who named his sons Scrubsole Palmer. I am descended from Charles Scrubsole Palmer who married a Maria Laddell in 1840. Do you have any information about George's wife or either of their parents as I have hit a brick wall.

Many thanks
Peter
