I am currently refurbishing and repairing a Meriden Firearm shotgun with "The New Aubrey" engraved on the barrel. What seems to be wrong with your gun? Maybe I can repair it.

My grandfather's has several numbers: left hammer #2144, right hammer appears to have been replaced; other numbers #84, T30, 3144, and the barrel hand hold is 2316. Initials under that barrel handhold are HMF, and a T.
Where to research for meanings, dates, perhaps name of HMF?

>I have a12-gauge double barrel shot gun made by Meriden firearms co in the 50's. I am trying to find out what it is worth today. How can I find this information out?

Meriden Firearms went out of business about 1915. One of their double barrelled shotguns should bring about $200 if it is complete and functional. A little more if like new, and much less if broken/rusted, etc.
