Manufactured c. 1900-1915 by Meriden Arms, Meriden, CT. This company was owned by Sears Roebuck and manufactured firearms exclusively for sale through Sears. Mr. A. J. Aubrey was the executive in charge of Meriden.

Look in the yellow pages for Gunsmiths. Or ask at any gunshop.

I am currently refurbishing and repairing a Meriden Firearm shotgun with "The New Aubrey" engraved on the barrel. What seems to be wrong with your gun? Maybe I can repair it.

My grandfather's has several numbers: left hammer #2144, right hammer appears to have been replaced; other numbers #84, T30, 3144, and the barrel hand hold is 2316. Initials under that barrel handhold are HMF, and a T.
Where to research for meanings, dates, perhaps name of HMF?

Meriden Firearms went out of business about 1915. One of their double barrelled shotguns should bring about $200 if it is complete and functional. A little more if like new, and much less if broken/rusted, etc.
