I was stationed at Pleiku from march 68 to march 69. I handled Duke 759E. Don't now if you remember me but have a picture of you and myself in my cubicle. Drop me an email if you can.

Info for you on Dixie, A663.

Dixie was with the 6254th Air Police at Pleiku in 1965, staying there when it was changed to the 633rd APS and then the 633rd SPS. Dixie was transferred to the 377th at Tan Son Nhut sometime in 1971-72. She was put down in 1972 at the age of 9, which means she was a great dog and healthy too. Most sentry dogs died at age 6-7 and most socut dogs did not live past three years. I hope this info helps.

Thank you very much for the information on Dixie..She was a great dog and we spent a lot of time together on the fence line..some good and some bad. She made my tour over there worth the time I stayed there..She had the ability to train any new handler and she looked out for them..We were a great team..Again thank you so much
tom for the information
