I was in Nam as a dog handler from 4/8/70 thru 4/7/71. I was at Pleiku until around 7/70 when about 4 of us were transferred to Cam Ranh Bay. When I first got to Pleiku, I had a dog named Rebel. Best "trick" dog I've ever seen, but he was very old, and couldn't really walk a post all night. Another guy was going back to the world, and asked if I'd consider taking his dog, Nicky, when he left. He knew I'd treat his dog right, and liked the way I handled. I just stumbled across this forum today. Amazing. At one time, I was good friends with Bruce Kinnaird and Bill Mitchell. Often wondered what became of them. I'm going to try to contact them as well. Sorry I don't know the guy you're looking for, but I'm glad I found this...

>I remember all of those dogs that you mentioned. I was the kennel master there from 7'69 to 7-70. We had a great group of handlers and dogs. I was in Nam as a dog handler from 4/8/70 thru 4/7/71.
