Pageants are a drug and we are all addicted.

  I am thinking of putting my 6 month old daughter in natural pageants however I am confused about a few things and I have major issues with not being prepared for things.(LOL) The most photogenic award...Is this one of the professional photos that I had Olan Mills take or is it pictures taken at home? And casual wear....is this like the clothes I buy for her from Baby Gap or from a Children's boutique. And lastly are there pageants where I don't have to change my daughter multiple times?

  • I would take my best photo.The childrens boutique clothes are fine and alot have them custom made. If look all down this board there are several pageants that are just having beauty,which means one time on stage and one outfit.If you are new I would steer clear of pageants that have photogenic added to the overall scores.If it is a separate,then it will be okay.Also,alot of pageants combine the two attire scores for wins.I would just ask because each pageant is different. • PM in need of help!!! Does anyone know what brand of make up Teresa Malouky uses? My daughter has been broken out on her face since her last pageant and this is the only think I can think of. Her doctor was wanting to know what is in the makeup. My daughter has tons of allergies, but I never thought makeup would do this to her. She has had make up before, but not by Teresa.   • TM usually uses MAC. Did she sponge on or spray? Most of the older girls gets sprayed now. She is one of the cleanest h/m people I've seen. You may can go to a Merle Norman store to get help. My dd is 3 and had very short very curly hair, we have to flat iron the front before hot rolling and usually don't roll the back, just the top and sides, since her hair is so short, i am having a hard time finding hot rollers that work, I heard of redken hot sets?   • Those have been discontinued. You not going to find them at Sally's. Try ebay or your local Goodwill store. Remember to use tissue paper under the rollers to avoid burns because they do get hot. • HELP!!! I have a question. We have been out of the game for a while. My oldest did pageants and has been out for about 3 years now. My baby is doing pageants now. She is 2. What are judges looking for in a skirt length? Do they like the cupcake to be like shirley temple length or knee length?   • In my opinion it should be shorter than the knee length but I guess it is really up to what the moms like on there dd's. I have a full glitz dress for sale that would fit your baby if you are looking. (NT) -- Hope this helps., 11/19/09 6:17pm
