- I have been looking at different pageant websites for next year and found one that has a breakdown in the age group of 4-7 years. DD will be 5 soon and would qualify for a fallback, but that would place her in the same catagory regardless. Does this breakdown seem a bit much? I mean there is a pretty big difference in 7 and 4 or even 5 and I'm wondering how many girls would be close to 8 or take a fall back. - This is what I take: shoes, socks, panty cover, dress & hair bow or headband, hair pieces (wiglet, fall etc), electric rollers, curling irons, makeup, & makeup cape, and photos. In the large makeup case I carry all makeup, comb, brushes, hairspray (freeze it), safety pins, bobby pins, & anything else we might need. (Like extra panties, panty cover extra socks). We sometimes carry an extra dress and decide on which one to wear when we see the competition is wearing. I live in the Nashville area and I am looking to enter my 4month old niece in pageants. For her age I am not sure if there is much difference between natural and glitz, but I could be wrong and if I am i would prefer natural because once she is older that is what we will be doing. I am a single parent(I have custody of my niece) and graduate student so funds are not the greatest so I am not trying to spend an arm and a leg. Any help that you all can give would be great. - Need some advice... My 18 month old still does not have any hair, I mean it's different lengths all over but in the crown area it's about 3 1/2 inches, thin and straight as a board, how can we fix it? We can't even pull it up in a pony. Is there a trick to make it curly without a iron? She's to little for me totry and curl it with a hot iron. Oh please help us!
