Pageants are a drug and we are all addicted.

  - depends if you want natural or glitz...if you prefer glitz then do AGG...but if you only want to do natural then do SGG. Glitz Pageant Dress- I know some of you ladies were looking for a glitz pageant dress. There is a pink one on sale on the Texas board. it was Madisyn's Custom Creations by Coniies dress. Beautiful place! Very hospitable! Limited rooms.
No one is required to stay at the hotel however it is a lovely get away. They offer a nice hot breakfast, wi fi and lots of other amenities. Within eye shot of Walmart.

If they are exempt they don't have to be register with us we just keep a separate folder on file of the ones that are exempt.

No they would be exempt but they would have to send us explaining why they should be exempt and what the fundriser is for.

- So I guess you would have to call and see if the fundraiser is a real fundraiser or just someone wanting to make money by deceit. There are rules as to what is a real fundraiser or not. - Does Georgia not have any voy boards that pm's actually use to talk? I'm really closer to Georgia than Alabama and usually don't go there because too much COI takes place. AMBG will have the TN State Registration BEFORE the Expo Pageant!!!! c/in -- Lisa - AMBG Director, 10/28/09 5:20pm
I don't know who keeps bringing up the B&L issue and really don't care. I just want everyone to know that AMBG does what we need to do to run our business. Mom and I have been directing pageants for well over 30 years and have been bonded for over 25 years (and keep our bond current EVERY year). We have not sent in our Registration for the state of TN this year because we did not have any pageants booked in this state. However, when we decided to be part of the Christmas Expo, we KNEW we needed to get our Registration papers into the state of TN. We have already spoken to Belinda at the state and she should receive our paperwork in the next day or so. AND we know that this registration is only good until end of 2009 - we will have to re-register in Jan of 2010! Heck, we have been directing so long . . .it used to be the "law" to have a license in several states - and in some states you ALSO had to have a 3 day city license and another 3 day insurance policy to direct pageants. I have also owned 3 other businesses besides a pageant business over the years (one was a corportation), and I do know that there are many "licenses" to keep up to date. Being Registered in the state of TN is not a new thing, but, I do realize that some new pageant directors don't know about this unless someone tells them. (I am definetely not the one calling the state and "tattling".) I wish all of the newer directors good luck in this business. And I wish the pageant moms/dads/granny's/etc would be nice and bring the legimate complaints to the directors attention. Most of us Directors are pretty easy to get along with and we do try to give YOU the pageant that you want. Sorry this was so long - just wanted to clarify that AMBG will have bond/registration/paperwork available for anyone to view at the Christmas Expo Pageant! Hope to see you there - we are planning to have a FABULOUS, FUN pageant!! BTW, you can get the paperwork at www.ambgnational.com and please let us know SOON if you will be attending! Do most judges prefer an indoor or outdoor photo for natural shots. I understand the outdoor look is what is going crazy but I thought like at SGG or something like that for nationals they would prefer an indoor studio shot. Can anyone help. -- pm, 10/29/09 2:15pm

Not sure what to do. First off I am not in TN, but posting ehre cause youll are helpful! About 6 months ago I lent out some pageant items to a mom that lives near me, she had borowed once from me before something else and gave back with no troubles. I dont mind lending, we are sometimes tight$$ and I know she is too.
So she calls and asks me if I have X and it is last minute before a pageant so I know she is desperate from her voice. It is something I have on hand and didnt mind just giving to her. SO she comes over and gets that item and I said just keep it so she can alter to fit her girl. It was kind of flawed and I was being nice. She saw something else I had which was custom made for my dd and I asid you can borrow that item if you need that too.
She borrowed. Since then I have called imed , emailed etc.. and she ignored me for a long time. She finally messaged me two weeks ago that she thought I gave her both items to keep and I said no that my daughter and I want the one thing back and that I was sure I said loan clearly. It was not something you would just give away. She told me she will 'look for it' and call me back. There is a banner up of her dd wearing it as part of her outfit :( it is not worth much like about $25.00 - $35.00 but I am surprised by the banner.
Now the two weeks went by and I want my daughters item but I have asked over and over straight out if she can give it back please that I need it and not sure how to lay it on her more bluntly , dont want to make her mad cause I want this back.
What would you do now? At what point do you give up getting your item back?

- Girl I would be upset too, but just let it go. That mother will get what is coming to her! I would just warn others close to the two of you so hopefully no one else will lend her pageant clothing or anything for that matter. I do understand I bought a dress from a lady in VA that she made and her dd wore one time(atleast that's what she said) and the pics and her description was nothing like what she sent me. It was also to small. Not the size she said and no way it was a 2T to 3t dress. It was horrible. I sent it back the same day I received it and told her to refund my money. I had her sign for dress to make sure she gets it. Well she refuse to give my money back and has blocked my email. I turned into paypal but they won't do anything about it cuz it wasn't purchased through ebay. Be ware if Chloelane designs in Virginia she is a scam! - Freeze It is the best we have found. I get it from Dollar General for 3.49. Our favorite rollers are Remington Tight Curls. They are hard to find, however. I got mine of of Ebay for 27$. Toy Explosion Rooms I just spoke with the hotel and there have been rooms added to my block (which is full) at the pageant rate...90.50. Please get them booked if you have not to assure getting to stay at the hotel. There is a convention in Memphis and they are booked at this hotel as well. Before I post our 29th. Annual Christmas Pageant in New Tazewell,Tn. I am registered in the state of Tn. to hold this pageant.
