- Updating -- Terry St Pierre, 07:11:11 11/06/09 Fri
Hi to everyone
I was glad to read the various comments about the 6 Bty reunion in Lippstadt and pleased it went so well. I will start the ball rolling with the regimental reunion after xmas as there is no point in trying to promote it until the New Year. I will be off line for a few days whilst I back up my computer and then transfer everything over to the new Windows 7 so all being well should be back on line over the weekend

- 27 STANDARD -- Chick, 22:10:25 10/20/09 Tue
Hi
My best regards to members of 23 By and the Regiment it’s been a long time but I’m now back on board.
On leaving the regiment back 1n 1974 acquired the 27 Regiment Standards? It’s the one we use to fly when the top brass made a visit. At the moment I have it framed and hanging on my bathroom wall but I would like to see this Standard in a more permanent place and thought of the Garrison Church at Larkhill. Can someone please tell how I go about donating?
How can I sen a photo of the Stanard?

Hi I'm looking for anyone who can remember my Dad Peter Eckles. He left 27 Regt in or about 1974, we lived in Lippstadt from 1971-1974. He is married to Pauline who was a serving member aswell(WRAC). her maiden name was Bolton. He is always talking about his time in the Artillary. Which inspired me to enlist. If anyone could give me any help in this matter i will be heavily in your debt. Kind regards Simon Eckles

I know it is not in everyones range but I can reccomend a visit if any of you get a chance

Just been reading Ted Stanford’s memories of the Corporal Missile.
The exercise that he was talking about must have been November Handicap.
It was the coldest winter in years.
I was also in the Outer Hebrides when the missile came back at us.
It exploded over Loch Boisdale.
I remember standing guard over the wreckage, I had a small piece of it for years as a souvenir.
Happy day’s.

Thanks to Dave for all the time and effort spent so far and no doubt many man hours still to come.

Hi everyone, I have been somewhat busy for the last 18 months as a combination of corrupt coppers and lousy lawyers has conspired to send my son to jail for something he did not do. There is a website that you can visit to see how police officers are treated in broken Britain. It is www.justice4kj.com and it tells a sorry tale of how an innocent man sits in jail today. Please visit it and register so that you can read all the stories about what happened.
On a happier note, I am building a new 27 site that will allow the uploading of photos and profiles etc. That should be up and running about the end of February all being well.

He was a medic so as such was in HQ battery When I was in HQ in the early 70s he was quite a character and was well liked by all and i would like to find out what became of him I like most people who met him was happy to be in his company. He seemed timeless and i think he may have served at the end of the last war in 1945!! so he was I think about retiring age when we were both in HQ Battery.

- Sincere Condolences -- Terry St Pierre, 08:15:54 01/10/09 Sat
Dear Jenny,
I am so sorry to hear that Bob has passed away and Carmel and myself extend our deepest sympathies. I only knew Bob of more recent years but his reputation as a gentleman superceded him. I had the privilege of meeting you both at Hayling Island and what a lovely couple you were.
On behalf of 27 Old Comrades Association please accept our sincere condolences.
RIP.
Terry and Carmel

Hi everyone
Are you aware that there is a 27 Regt RA group on facebook, albeit the membership is quiet small, I left a message directing them to the official Regimental site as I am sure there are some who are not aware of it.
May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a "Merry Christmas" and a "Happy New year". This will of course be impossible for those who have recently lost loved ones, perhaps we should spare a thought for those who are no longer with us and their families at this time.

Found this site this week I had a bout of nostalgia last rememberance day and started looking around the net.
Any way i am really Happy that so many of you out there are well and enjoying life and myself apart keeping in touch
I loved my time in the regt in 23 and Hq Btys and think of my time and my comrades a lot(even more as i grow older) so i would be delighted if any of you who remember me got in touch and we could "shoot the breeze" about common memories
love to hear from you

I left the regulars in 92 to work for the Army Cadet Force as a Quartermster and still in the post.Looking at some of the photo's in your album those of you I know havn't changed a bit!!!!! but then many years have passed since we have been in touch and I am only too pleased to see that the Regiment has its own site. - Hi all -- Shaun Garnier (Lost pics), 02:40:08 07/31/08 Thu
Hi, I was with 27 Field in Lippstadt, 56 Bty, from 76 to 81, I lost all my photos of my time in Germany an Ireland, if any one has any they could email me with me in them I would be grateful.
I was in Survey troop with Sgt Brian Bethel, I had the fortune or was it mis fortune to be his driver lol, also I was with Close ops in NI in 79 so any pictures from this time would also be appriciated.
Hopefully some will remember me :-))

- Weston -- Kev Russell (Dont,let the Bast!!!s get you down), 05:03:05 07/30/08 Wed
Finaly got round to it.
Thanks to everyone for my first (and not the last) reunion.
What a great weekend, thanks Terry and everyone who helped organise it.
On the Sunday night I think I saw a couple of 56 battery lads a little worse for wear, sleeping under the Grand Pier,
I would imagane they got a little cold, so being the resoursfull types I guess they managed to warm themselves up.
Anyway It was great to see some of the old faces and look forward to the nexe one.

I wish someone would show me how to put the photo on the Profile. I've selected a photo, clicked on copy but when you click over the square where the photo should go the paste option is greyed out.
I have done the history and interests but no luck with the photo.
HELP!!!!

I have been trialling a system that should allow Terry to email all members in the database and, inadvertantly,it sent everyone an empty email. I supposed I should be pleased that it actually worked. You can now update and alter your own profile on the site and upload one repeat one image of yourself so that everyone can see how gracefully you have all aged. Please follow the instructions on the site so that there are fewer hiccups and let me have your feedback please.

Could anyone email me some photo's taken at the reunion. I have had a few off John Clark but would like a selection so I can get some on site.
