I am trying to find ANY information on an Indian tribe called "Waseanattox" who lived around the colonial Virginia area during the early 1600s, late 1500s.
This is part of my genealogical research and I cannot find anything on this tribe. I discovered the name of this tribe during my research, so I'm not overly confident in the spelling. I could be way off and it's possibly spelled completely different. It's all I have to go on. Or...the info on the website origin where I discovered this tribe's name was erroneous. I just don't know.
My Native American ancestor from this mysterious Waseanattox tribe was named "Rachel", born in 1583 in Accomack Co., Virginia and married Thomas Blalock in 1628--Thomas was an English colonial immigrant who arrived in America in 1622 on ship "Forward Frigate"( Thomas was born in England 1581, died Accomack Virginia 1660)
