my name is Karen Splitlog, My Grandmother , was Myrtle Carey born in Indian Territory , Now Oklahoma, I am searching for any information about her parents they came on the trail of tears from No. Carolinait was a large faimly and I have always been told that we had a ggggrandparent that was english and was a prisoner/hostage from Roanoak Island . Please any information would be greatly appreciated . So far all I have found that I can do is take a DNA test and try to find out if any of them on Roanoak that my faimly might be descendants of, I found a website on the net and if you have any inofrmation it would be greatly appreciated.
