My father's family has a legend of having Lenape heritage.
His family is named Scott, and other associated names are Mahan, Vanderveer, Musgrave, Saint, Ott, McCall, Archibald, Harry, John, Walter, and Wahab.
They were farmers and/or shippers from the eastern areas of Pennsylvania, and New York and New Jersey, and most of his family's roots had been here since the 1600 and 1700's, back when everyone got along and the treaties meant something.....before the Burnt Cabins were even built.
If any of this is sounds familiar to you please write.
