Subject: Trying to prove heritage

 I am trying to confirm American Indian heritage. Was told my grandmother was Cherokee. Cannot confirm. May have been Choctaw or Seminole.

Grandmother was Alice Victoria Thomas Jones. Born in Green Cove Springs, Florida 1892. Her father was James Andrew Thomas also born in Green Cove Springs, Florida 1862. Most census rolls show him as J. Andrew Thomas.

I think her mother was Sallie M. Jones 1863 although his first wife was Marry Brown (no information on her). Last known information I can find was in Birmingham, Alabama.

Does anyone have any information on this family?
