Is there any information you can give me on how to prove my lineage and if in fact the stories are true that my ancestors were Cherokee?
MY GRANDMOTHER -Elaine Elizabeth Parr born 9/27/21 in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio
MY GREAT GRANDFATHER Earl William Parr born 3/5/1896 in Dayton, OH ~ Lived in Columbus City, Franklin, OH
Married Meyrtle Mae Haiett
then moved to Mad River Township, OH in 1900, Columbus Ward 10, Franklin OH in 1910
Dayton again in 1930, and died on 9/20/1981 in Tuscon, AZ
MY 2nd GR. GRANDFATHER - James Parry born 3/1868 in Granville, Licking OH, Lived in Bowling Green in 1870
Moved to Delaware, OH in 1880 (age 12), Married Mattie M. Parr Born abt. 1875. They moved to Mad River Township in 1900
He died in Columbus, Franklin OH 4/22/1927
3rd GR. GRANDPARENTS - William H. Perry born 7/1824 in Kentucky, Married Sara Paine Sallie Crook on 12/20/1846
Lived in Anderson, KY in 1850, In Benton, Cedar, Missouri in 1880, Died in Franklin, KY on 6/1/1900 in Magesterial District 4, Bald Knob,
Bailey's Mill, Flat Creek Precincts.
-Sara's parents were Hezekiah Crook born in 1788 in King and Queen, Virginia and Elizabeth Johnson who was born in 1788
also in Virginia. They married on 4/14/1807 in Madison, KY. They lived in Clay, KY around 1850.
Elizabeth died in 1830 and Hezekiah died in 1843. Both died in Franklin, KY
-Hezekiah Crook's parents were Absalom Crook born in PR Georges, Marylan in 1760. He died on 2/7/1807 in
Madison, KY and Mary Ann Paff born in 1737 and died in 1810 in Madison, KY
-Elizabeth's parents were Jesse Johnson born in 1770 in New Hampshire and died 3/14/1822 in Madison, KY and
Elizabeth Lewis in 1760 in New Hampshire and died 4/21/1806 in Madison, KY
4th GR. GRP. - John G. Perry born abt. 1791 in Kentucky, Married Catherine Young who was born in 1790 in Anderson, KY.
They married on 2/28/1876 in Franklin, KY, Catherine died in 1860 and John died in 1871 in Anderson, KY. I don't have any
further information on her parents, grandparents, etc.
5th GR. GRP. - Benjn (Benjamin) Perry born in 1752 in Spotsylvania, Virginia, Lived in Henry County Kentucky in 1800,
Married Jemima Stewart Head on 7/21/1802. She was born in 1763 in Spotsylvania, Virginia. They lived in Scott, KY.
Jemima died in 1830 in Henry, KY. Benjin died in 1835 in Port Royal, Henry, KY
-Jemima's parent's were Benjamin Head born in 1743 in Orange, VA and he died in 1784 RAPIDAN RIVER, Orange, VA
and Grace born in 1735 and died in 1795 in Franklin, KY
-Grace's parents were Henry Head born in 1695 in Lancaster County, King George, VA who died 2/25/1765 in Spotsylvania, VA.
He was married to Frances Spence who was born in 1695 in Virginia and died in 1772 in Rappahannock, VA
-Frances's parents were Alexander Spence born in 1656 in Rappahannock, VA and died on 6/6/1716 and her mother was
Elizabeth Browne born in 1657 in Nhant County, VA and died on 5/4/1720 in Spotsylvania, VA
-Henry's Parents were William Head born in 1660 in Virginia and died in Richmond, Wise, VA in 1711.
His mother was Elizabeth Williams born in 1660 in Culpepper, VA and also died in 1711 in Richmond, VA
6th - Benjamin Perry born 11/7/1729 in South Kingstown, Washington, Rhode Island. His wife's name was Elizabeth who was born in 1730
in Prince George's, Maryland. They married in 1750. He died on Jan. 10. 1784 and she died in Virginia in 1800. They both died in Virginia
Benjamin's parents were Benjamin Perry born in 1677 in Massachusetts and died in South Kingstown, Washington, Rhode Island in 1749
His mother's name was Susanna Barber born 10/23/1697 in South Kingstown, Washington, Rhode Island and died in 1748 in the same place
