 Hello,

I am trying to find out about my maternal grandfather, Elsie Horace (known as Hoot) Belcher,deceased in Little Rock Pulaski Arkansas November 1971, married to my grandmother Mildred Sullivan May 23 1931. My mother had always told me that he was full blooded Cherokee, but just before my Grandmothers death she said that he was mostly Cherokee but not full blooded. We are trying to determine if our son would qualify to claim Native American ancestry for college, not for financial reasons but for ethnic considerations on admissions acceptance. Can you help?
