My grandmother's maiden name (father's mother) is unknown, however, we were told by our father grandma came from a reserve out in montana. she was born in the mid 1800's and she traveled to Canada shortly thereafter. she married my grandfather(Andre Lavallee)and settled in St.Laurent , Manitoba. She was given a french name, Eliza, as it is written in the Manitoba Archives. they had 13-16 children and my father was the 4th or 5th youngest.
