My father Russell T Dotter was a C-47 pilot with 11Combat Cargo Squadon, 3rd Combat Cargo Group and believes that he knew Mr. Ellis whose daughter also replied to this and believes he was the first of a group of 8 pilots checked out when he arrived and my dad was 2nd.

rpm setting for cruise was 1800, climb was 2250, TO at full power 2500 to 2600 he thinks, but that could be low.
