Subject: confirmation/information

a bomber plane shot down along teddim road connecting assam and burma during WW2 was found in the jungles of manipur state, india during 1971-72. it had a crew of 5 incl 1 female. their dog tags and side arms i recall were recovered and submitted to the state police, i was only 6yrs at the time.one of the pilots had a surname armstrong.
i need to know if the remains etc. have reached their families?? where do i inquire from?
