I was assigned to the 4th Squadron of the 1st CCG, started
my service in CBI in Dohazari, India in March 1945. The
itinerary you say your father followed from the States to
India is the same one I took when I went overseas in March
1945, with some minor exceptions. I was a pilot.

I served in the 4th Squadron in India/Burma during the Burma
campaign, then took our squadron to China(Liu Chou), finally
flew the 94th Chinese Route Army from Hankow to Paoting, China. We went from Hankow to Shanghai(Kiang Wan Airport),
where we deactivated and went to the States on an Army transport in December 1945, landing in Seattle, WA, where I happenned to live.

Did not know your father. Have been in touch with some of the remaining members of my Group, but there few of us left
at this point.

Regards,

Bill(Clarence W.) Edwards
