Subject: Flight Officer Henry C. Harding

Although my father, Henry C. Harding, died in 1977, he was a CBI Pilot during the war. From a personal flight log that he kept, it's evident he was mostly flying out of Misamari or Mohanbari. In the log he showed destinations of Myitkyina (Burma), Chanyl, Chengkung, Kunming, Luliang, Mangshih, Paoshan, Tsuyung (China), and numerous places in India. Luckily, I have all of his old paperwork including his orders, medical records, pictures, and other things he brought home. His medals included a Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, and he was also awarded a Presidential Unit Citation. Before going overseas, he served as a Flight Instructor, and while overseas, he flew the supply runs, then was transferred into Air Search & Rescue. If anyone might have known him, it would be a pleasure to talk with you.
