Subject: 1st Air Transport ???, William H.Wolf

HELP!!!
Was there a 1st Air Transport ??? during WWII?
Or could this be the, 1st Air Transport Squadron (Mobile) that is within this website, or was there a 1st Air Transport Command?
I'am researching the 10 men from my hometown that died during WWII, these men from Penbrook/Harrisbug PA had memorial trees planted in 1948 and some "replacement" plantings in 2005. This airman, CPL William H. Wolf was listed as DNB died non-battle. His parents were Paulian Wolf and William Henry Wolf know to lived in Shellsville, PA during 1930's and 40's. The Shellville, PA V.F.W. post#9639 is named after Cpl. Wolf and two other WWII vets. This family has died-out except for one cousin.
No other infomation is known about this service man.
Looking for any help that can be given.
