Subject: Information on 2nd glider commando

I am looking for information on Edward "Fats" Herring, who flew gliders over the Burma Hump during the war. He recieved some of his training at Bowman Feild in Louisville, KY and some out west(background looks like the desert). He was discharged a 1st lt. in the AAC. He died when I was very young and I never got to hear any stories of his service. He was going to be a baseball player before the war, and after,He went to work for NCR in sales.
If any of his comrades-in-arms can tell me any stories or give any info, I would greatly appreciate it. I acn be reached at the e-mail above.
