My father, PFC Joseph J. Sabol (deceased, 1988) was a medic in the CBI 69th General. I know he was in India Christmas, 1944 at least through Valentine's Day, 1945 and spent Christmas, 1945 in Okinawa. He survived at least one of the typhoons that hit Okinawa. I have documentation that he arrived by ship in Oran, North Africa, on April 19, 1944. He was known for his artistic ability and painted many signs and holiday postcards for fellow soldiers to send home to loved ones. Several pictures show him smoking a pipe.
Is Gladys still alive? Is there any information about my father that you can link to Gladys?
Yours is the only request about the 69th General Hospital that I can find.
