I think religion should be taken entirely from the school ciriculum personally.

Yes many parents force their children into religious studies out of fear!!!!

I think manners, social standards, health both physical and mental, should be taught by parents in the home and examples set by parents/

Indoctrinating children into any religion is abuse in my honest opinion and should certainly be illegal!!! Anyone seen Jesus camp, been to Latterdaysaint sunday school lately??

Children, though needing guidance, have rights. The right for care givers to be responsible to the child and responsive to the child, the right to be taught by people who undertake duty of care seriously! The right to a safe environment, the right to be loved and appreciated for who they are and the right to self govern and choose for themselves which religion they want to follow if any at all, when they are beyond the influence of those wishing to choose for them.

Just my opinion :)
