From where are these definitions sourced?

My understanding is that "pagan" is an umbrella term for any non-God of Abraham, or non-mainstream religion (as acknowledged by the various dictionaries, historians, anthropologists, social commentators and pagans with whom I have had contact over the last 30 years or so). I know many a pagan who might balk at the idea of "worshipping" the "elements" of nature, myself included.

As to the definition given of druidry, there are serveral druid groups that do not worship and earth goddess/pan/greenman, notably those that follow an Irish line of druidry.

As to being an environmental activist, etc.: to this pagan and those of my acquaintence, its a political issue, not an religious one.
