Hello,

You are on the right track with the crafts. the sorts of things you can make are Corn Dollies and Corn Pentacles (Corn referring to wheat here, not the yellow vege!). you can bake a man shaped loaf of Bread which can represent John Barleycorn, the Sacrificed Spirit of the Harvest. there is just so much you can do.

Here in the Southern hemisphere, we would pretty much do the same things as they do up North so keep doing your research.
Lughnassadh is a time for Games of strength, speed and skill, just so they can get into the act; let the Kids have running races, 3 legged races, sack races etc or perhaps a tug O war (who knows, the Oldies might have fun doing it all too).

anyway, thats all I can think to say at this unGoddessely hour. I am sure there are others with ideas?
