Hi Benny,

You have the same idea as myself. I was just researching activities for the same event and came across your thread. I was actually trying to work out what I could write on the invites. I wanted to avoid the Xmas in July thing and concentrate on a festival of light. I too am roasting on the spit with lots of roast veges. I am also going to make a sun cake and brew some mead. We are on an acre so a fire will be lit, people can camp and a drumming circle will happen. I will invite everyone who plays an insturment to bring it and was hoping for some kind of entertainment to hire. I did find one interesitng activity - how to construct your own backyard stonehenge - all with styrofoam. THought that would be fun. Lots of candles around and I hope that most will dress for the occasion also. I like your idea of the moment of reflection and lighting of the Yule log.

Cheers, Jassy
