Tech’s First Commencement

The first annual commencement of the Technical High School is to be held at the Murat Theatre on Tuesday, June 8. (1915) The invocation by Rev. J. Drover Forword will be followed by the Class President’s Introductory Talk. Besides Fay Douglas’ talk, four other class members, Donald Dorman, Lois Stone, Max Baker, and Dorothy Carey, will address the audience.

The address of the evening will be given by Dr. W.L. Bryan, Pres. of Indiana University. Wm. H. Taylor Pres. of the Board of School Commissioners, will present the Diplomas.

The Tech chorus and orchestra, both under the direction of Miss Kaltz, will furnish the entire musical programme. The Tech song, “Our Tech,” will be sung in public for the first time.

This programme for the Commencement exercises of Tech’s first Senior class, is a very notable milestone in our school’s career.
