Subject: TECH TRIVIA ?

At Tech in the fall of 1934, bicycles were a popular mode of transportation to school. How many students rode their bike to school? (Obviously I don't expect anyone to know the exact number...so just for fun, make an honest guess)

BICYCLES ARE 449 STRONG

A great number of the masculine contingent of Tech's 6,000 students have recently taken to wheels. Riders parked 448 bycycles in the bicycle area near the Electrical building one day recently. With the 448 boys' bycycles was one girl's bike, mute evidence that only one fair lady had taken to wheels.

The 449 bikes ranged in appearance from a green and black spotted vehicle to a chromium-plated, ballon-tired de-luxe model of a more recent date. All the colors of the rainbow were represented and also some combinations of which surely the rainbow would never approve.
