Just kayaked Gold Lake in CA. Now at Mt. Shasta, CA heading to Florence, OR for next paddle. I'm having a ball and hope you will all follow along. Maybe we can meet up along the way.

Just finished kayaking WA state and am headed to ID next. This is a blast. Two days ago I kayaked around Turtle Rock Island in the Columbia River, north of Wenatchee, WA. Also got to spend some quality time with my son and newest granddaughter, Zoey. Pictures are posted on Facebook under "Charlene Beaty". Life is good.

P.S. Next grandchild is due in March 2010. Yahhhhh (I think)

I am now in UT and plan to paddle here within the week. UT will be my 8th state. I'm having a blast.

Wait until you plunge into Kentucky waters...your life will never be happier!

If you Kayak the Ohio River between IN and KY, south of Evansville it counts as KY, because Kentucky owns the river south of Evansville.

Kinda did that with Lake Tahoe, paddled on CA side, then drove around the lake and paddled on NV side. But in the weeks to come, I'll get in several more NV paddles.

Well, UT has been paddled. Pretty neat. Paddled across a small reservor... and on the other side saw a great blue herron, many other waterfoul, and a white domestic duck that had crossed with a Mallard female, and they had a white/dark spots offspring. Really neat.

42 states left to kayak.
