Nongoi...i agree with you totally with what you are saying about our unique culture and traditinal heritage. """WE MUST MAKE SURE OUR HERITAGE LIVE EVERLASTING."" But our government doesn't seem to know and think ahead about the consequences our country and districts (like waghi) will face. With aspects like enforced negoitation about ECP (to allow aussie police with direct immunity), landowners close to minning areas accepting foreginers to expand minerals exploitation, government allowing huge foreign companies to operate in PNG in coffee, coca, and oil industries...........it doesn't look too good.
I guess that my point is that eventually all these foreign activities will turn our people to be like those Aborigines and NZ Maoris. We must deal with foreigners without damaging our heritages. Every company brings in foreigners nnd foreigners bring in their own culture and that brings in change.....and that exactly what happened to australia and New Zealand in the years gone by.
So now take a look at Aborigines and Maori.......no identity, no unique place to call it true home....high divorce rate, welfare dependent families, parents and kids having no respect for each other.......etc etc...
We must keep and hold onto our tradition and heritage.
