C.K thank you for putting up the posting for the benefit of some of us who did not see it. What has been stated are all facts that one can not deny.
I had cut & paste below an article from the p.s on efforts made by some Youths from N.Waghi to stay away from this illicit activities.
It is a positive step forward but needs combined efforts from all sectors to compat these growing problems.

From P.Courier.

YOUTHS from North Wahgi in the Western Highlands Province have rehabilitated themselves and are staying away from illicit drugs following a drug awareness program.
Fight against Illicit Drugs and Alcohol Abuse (FAIDAA) is a group that carries out drug abuse awareness campaigns.
FAIDAA Inc was established in April 2002, to fight drug abuse within the Banz and Jiwaka areas.
The main aim and objective of the organisation is to educate, and ensure that the youth of today are fully informed of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
In most areas common harmful substances are marijuana and steam beer. executive director James Sakul said they have carried out many awareness programs covering all parts of the electorate and they have realised that many people have rehabilitate themselves.
“But the problem is widespread,” he said.
