The "base" service fee is $149, although you never pay that much. Curves International always has a promotion of some sort, whether it be 66%, 60% or 50% off, rest of summer free, rest of year free, food for friends, breast cancer awareness, etc. So the service fee varies depending on when you walk in the door to sign up.

However, many clubs seem to forget that they're a franchise and disregard the promotions and prices that Curves International sets.

Right now the service fee is 60% off, so it would be $59. But starting November 15th (or 17th), the official promotion is "rest of year free" where if you sign up on CD (that's a 12-month Check Draft progam) the service fee is 50% off (which makes it $74) and you don't have to pay any monthly dues until Jan 1 2004.

I hope your Curves follows the rules, but like I said, some don't.

good luck!
