>Claire, hang in there!! Those recovery stations, (I found out by a poster on my Curves wall), are to be used lighter than the machines. The purpose is to keep the heart rate constant and provide the aerobic effect in between the weight training..... The ladies that are in that gym are being paid to help, and if they see you performing with a less than stellar technique, they should approach you and make a suggestion. I have learned more from trying different locations and meeting a variety of people. Do not give up!! Just get that heart rate in the target and things start to happen. I have lost 9 inches and 6 lbs since Sept 12th. I have alot more wt. to lose than you. Linda
