How Much W/I did you lose before you started to wear smaller sizes?

How much weight/inches did you have to lose before you could fit into a smaller size jeans/pants? I have lost approx 20 lbs and I am already wearing the next size down in most of my jeans and 2 sizes smaller in some of my other jeans. But I am still wearing the same size in my dressier pants. How much weight typically do you have to lose to lose a pants size?
