It's common for the clubs to offer a "first visit discount" because the chances of someone coming back to sign up are quite low, so it's incentive to get you to sign up when you are in there for the first time. It's GREAT that they told you the pricing up front, because then you won't be too surprised when you get in there. It's worth a shot to ask them to do the full circuit before you make your decision if you have any doubt. I don't really know anyone who doesn't like it, even if they reservations when they signed up. And I couldn't be more pleased with my progress :) I'm about 1/2 way to my goal weigh, having lost about 15 pounds before joining curves and losing 30 pounds in my first year (along with 30 inches ;). I will reach my goal within the next year as I've only been doing the diet for a few months now and that's where most of the weight loss has come from.
