You need to give them 30 days written notice in order to cancel your membership, so whenever you hit month 11, just bring in a short note that you want to quit. The system is pretty much bug-free, so you shouldn't have to worry about payments being taken after you quit.

As for if/when you decide to rejoin, you might have to pay the join fee again (sorry, some clubs might not be as strict about this, but I'm not sure how easy it is to get the files out of the archive on the computer, so some might say it's just as much paperwork as when you signed up first, others might just be glad you're back :)

As for if it's a different club, the archive member files on the computer are not available to most trainers so if the new club wanted proof in order to waive the fee, they might need the owners or managers verification. AT least that's how my club works.
