Welcome to curves - I just started a month ago myself. So far I am very pleased with the program.

I got my daughter to join with me and then a co-worker joined 2 weeks ago so I usually have somebody to go with but if they are not available I just go by myself - I haven't missed a day yet (and sometimes I go twice a day). Most people seem friendly but some just want to workout and get finished.
Try saying hi to everybody or try to get a friend to join with you. Good Luck
