Subject: New recovery machine
In reply to: Bobbie 's message, "Re: # of times a week and # of times around the circuit" on 17:04:38 01/25/04 Sun

From what I gathered, it will replace the recovery stations in between some of the machines so it will be in the circuit. Gary said that he expects some clubs will replace half of their squares with them.

The number of machines IS based on the owners, but some owners make the members "earn" the newer machines or more machines (each club traditionally starts out with 8) by getting more members or collecting the most food for a food drive...they each do different things. The machines do cost money, and if the owner isn't bringing more in, there isn't much incentive for them to order a new machine. Some owners just expland the circuit on their own...but specifically mine, they have a big in-club promotion for "once we get XX new members, we'll get the Whatever machine" and then it's up to the memebers to get their friends and family to come on in and join. buddy referrals get a free t-shirt anyway, so there's always a reason to get your friends to join :) I know I can always use another workout t-shirt!

So, there are 13 machines available for the circuit and around June, clubs will be able to replace their recovery stations with a stair-stepper, if so desired.

Does that help explain things a little better?
