I just bought the Curves book and Gary Heavin, founder and CEO of Curves Int'l, writes "My faith helped me get through some difficult times. I'm a born-again Christian, and I take my commitment to God and humanity very seriously. My wife, Diane, and I believe that we have been blessed, and we believe that to whom much is given, much is expected."

So.... I wasn't surprised that some Curves franchisees may have the same beliefs.

I am Presbyterian, my husband and kids are Roman Catholic. I used to be employed by a United Church. I have been organist in a Baptist Church - so it would be second nature to have Christian music at the gym for me.

While not all people are Christians, it's not a bad thing. Many songs I listen to aren't necessarily what I personally live (or my teenaged kids I hope).

Anyway - just my thoughts. P.S. Think I'll keep reading the book and actually start the diet program in July .... wish me luck.
