I wear a Polar A3 when I workout and it's great. I sometimes take my heart rate, if I can fix my gaze on one point and ignore the music (but that's why I got it in the first place!) just to check it, but I love that I can see what my average rate was and how long I was in range and whatnot.

I know Timex makes several including a few that are less than 40 bucks, I just can't find one out here, saw em in Illinois.
