Subject: what to do during heart rate checks?

Now that I have my nifty new heart rate monitor, I've found that when I stop to check my heart rate, it falls quite a bit. Does anyone else find this happening? I'm wondering if I should just keep moving through the circuit instead (as long as it doesn't cause problems with the flow of other people, of course). I tried to time how long the break is when the voice says, "Now step away from your station and find your heart rate..." and it seems to be about 20 seconds. Should I just walk in place during this time?

As a side note, if you have a hard time finding your heart rate, I highly recommend getting a heart rate monitor. It's so cool to see how hard my heart is working throughout my work out!
