Listen to your mentor. what you are doing is adjusting and balancing your metabolism and each time you bounce back to Phase 3, it SHOULD Take you longer to reach that 3rd pound gain. Here's where it gets tricky, consider what you are BEFORE you started the Curves diet. how many calories was that? if it was a lot less than 2500, then maybe you should shoot for 2200 or even 2000 instead. because when you reach your goal, you want to be "eating on phase 3" except on those 2-3 days a month when you do phase 1. So you don't want to be reving your metabolism up for a 2500 calorie diet when you only plan on eating 2000 everyday. Do you get what I mean? It's not exactly the easiest thing to explain and parts of it I don't understand. But I've heard gals at my club that have LOST weight while they were trying to gain those 3 pounds on phase 3.

Another suggestion is, despite what your quiz results returned, if the calorie version isn't working, try switching to the carb version. It's possible that it actually is the carbs that are your problem area, not just calories. That's what we were told in our 6-week challenge class. If one version doesn't work for you, try the other. and if neither does, go to phase 3 and then hit phase 1 again. It's also possible that neither will work for you. there's about 25% of the population that doesn't respond to low-carb diets because their body processes them just fine. so a lower-fat diet or something like the zone diet where you get 30-40-40 or such might work better.

Hope that helps!
