Hi Becky - Welcome to Curves - I've been going for about a month now and definitely see results already. Three times a week is fine - think of it as time for yourself.

Just follow the instructors directions for each of the machines that your Curves has. Use the rest spots between machines to keep you heart rate up but don't overdo it on them, save your energy for the machines themselves.
