Subject: A question about oblique machines at other Curves

Does every Curves use the same oblique machine? It sounds like my Curves uses the same 1 described in a post earlier. However, I am curious if the other Curves use a machine that places the handles in the middle. Let me see if I can explain.

When I sit in my Curves' oblique machine, I have to lean to the left (maybe to 8 or 9am position) in order to grab the handle bars to then pull it to 2pm position. However, it is effortless to go to 11am position because the machine is set up to return to the left on its own anyway (like when you get off it). Are all other Curves oblique machines set up thaat way? At other non-Curves gyms the handles are stationed in the middle then you go to 11 and 2 positions. With my Curves I see no benefit for my 11am position when the machine sits at 8 or 9 to start with.

Did my Curves set it up wrong? How can I get the resistance for 11am spot?

Help? Thanks in advance!
