Hey Rachel,
I just finished breastfeeding my baby and just recently started dieting. Physicians reccomend that you wait to diet until after breastfeeding or pregnancy. You have to remember you wouldn't be the only one on the diet your baby would be too! I think that if you feel you must diet just take away some junkfood (not all though you body needs some sugars) but not an entire foodgroup. So I wouldn't chance cheating your baby out of a balanced diet. Also most women lose the rest of the baby weight after they quit brestfeeding so you might keep that in mind. But for the best advice you should talk with your physician. Hope this helps!
Adrienne
