Welcome to CURVES Karen,

I feel like an ambassador, because I keep sharing how positive my CURVES experience is. I started mid-way thru April and lost several pounds right away, as well as 2 inches of m waistline <-- I didn't need 'em anyway.

Please remember how unique and special you are. Your experience may be similar or it my be totally different...there are many variables.

I think most of us need to personalize our eating habits, along with the exercise regimen. How structured the diet is, is yet another variable. My choice was to simply cut down portions AND be a little more mindful of what I am eating-such as the fat content. I still allow myself to indulge in a dessert, or a special snack, but I only take a very small slice of chocolate mousse cake, for instance or I stick to just one normal sized serving of spaghetti and meatballs.

In addition, I drink a pretty fair amount of water. My favorite is the individual bottles of spring water, I buy a supply of them every time I go grocery shopping.

Now into my second month, I can see that my weight loss is slowing down, but I think that's normal when you begin a new plan...you lose more rapidly at first...so the slowdown isn't gettig to me. I found that developing a schedule of when I go was helpful for me-it's sort of like saving money; you do much better if you "take it off the top".

Karen, I know you were just asking about the diet part and gaveyou an earful. As one newbie to another, I wanted to share that this experience is multi-faceted, it not JUST exercise.
