Subject: high heart rate

Hi all, I'm new to the board, and 3 weeks at Curves. I have enjoyed reading the messages ... I now have a question - My heart rate is over the top! I don't feel that I'm working that hard, but I have been encouraged to slow down and keep it in the yellow zone of the chart, to burn fat more efficiently. They assure me this will change as I become more "fit". Has anyone had this experience; how long will it take? I'm in my mid 40s and need to lose 50/60 lbs, but I am very active and walk 4 km every day and work out at Curves 3 x/week and garden, chase kids all day, etc. etc. So I don't "feel" that I'm overdoing it. Any ideas? tks.
